Is Lockhart Basketball Academy a 501c Non-Profit?

LBA is a registered as a non-profit organization through the state of Texas. Our EIN is 93-2609578. Our 501c status is in process and should be approved soon.

How many games, tournaments and practices are in a season?

LBA does not guarantee any specific number of games, tournaments or practices per season. Generally, teams will practice once or twice a week depending on grade level and gym availability. Games and tournaments are scheduled based on availability of players, gyms and other resources.

Why are the registration fees so low?

As a non-profit, LBA is a volunteer led organization. We do not pay our coaches and do not upcharge for tournaments, uniforms etc. While is costs us about $500 per player for the season, we strive to raise support though generous individual, small business, foundation and local government agencies to help us keep your fees low. We believe that every child should have access to quality coaching regardless of their economic status.
